Spinda is a variation on the classic spider web quilt block and was inspired by a quilt pattern designed by Pamela Goecke Dinndorf . The blocks, which I call spinners, are made from highly contrasting, visually complicated fabrics ranging from the 1930’s to today. The back of the quilt is made of solid red fabric, but the quilting is so intense that the back actually appears to be a print.
