Hello good people-

The last stop on my travels this spring was to visit the Pacific Northwest Quilt and Textiles Museum to see my show On the Grid. It looked really good. I truly appreciate the time and energy the staff put into hanging a great show. 

I am now settled in the far north for the summer! Unfortunately, we’ve only had ONE sunny day so far. Alaskans do like to talk about their weather. Usually June is sunny, August is raining, and July determines whether it is was a good summer or not. So far, it is not.

But you aren’t here to listen to me gab about the weather. Onto the quilting news of the day. June is action packed. I hope you will join me for ALL of these events—the price is right. Making Prints—Virtual Workshop

June 8,15, 22, and 29, 2023

All sessions are recorded and made available for students to view for 90+ days after the workshop ends.

Class Description

Students will learn how to improvisionally piece an assortment of prints—stripes, dots, tracks, and plaids. While learning how to build these new units, students will also be given information about working with solids fabrics, fine craft piecing techniques, and ideas for taking these units and creating original quilt compositions.

My Stitching Towards Discovery workshop is coming to a close. For six months, I lead students through a series of conversations and exercises about art, craft, construction, and productivity. Piecing Palooza

I participated in Creative Spark’s Color Mixer earlier this year, and now I joining the team for Piecing Palooza. The structure of the event is the same—FOUR hours of incredible expert information this time about piecing! Each session features several topics and you can choose to attend one live and then watch the other sessions on the recording which is yours to keep forever. All for $30 bucks. As soon as all of this excellent programming is completed, I am headed back to the studio where I might just finish this work from my studies with Nancy Crow last month.
