GET IN SHAPE—Workshop Description
This design and composition workshop focuses on how to find and stitch small pieced shapes into a dynamic quilt composition. We will cover the following improv techniques—finding inspiration in our daily lives, translating that inspiration into pieced shapes that we can use for creating quilts, and arranging those shapes into dynamic pieced compositions that feature excellent figure ground relationships!
FEES INCLUDE
Accommodations on site for Tuesday, May 18–Saturday, May 22, 2027 (five nights)

ADDITIONAL GUESTS
Students are welcome to bring their partners to the Art Nest. Here are the details.
$150 for five nights or $30 a night for an additional guest
$200 for a complete meal plan or $10 for each breakfast, $15 for each lunch, and $20 for each dinner. These additional charges will be collected by Maria during the actual workshop.
REGISTRATION DETAILS
Upon registering, student will receive an email confirmation along with a supply list and general details about the workshop. Registrations are processed on a first come, first serve basis. If the class is full, you can request to be put on the waitlist.
Deposit: A $300 deposit is required at the time of registration. If a student needs to cancel, see cancellation policy below.
Cancellation Policy: The $300 deposit can be refunded minus credit card fees until March 17, 2027. After March 17, 2027, the deposit will not be refunded but can be used as credit for a future Improv @ the NEST or virtual workshop. Credit must be used by May 31, 2028. Cancellations must be in writing and emailed to [email protected] You may designate someone to take your place if you cannot attend. We are not responsible for travel refunds.
Early Bird Discount: If workshop is paid for in full by February 1, 2027, student will get a 10% discount. Total due on February 1 with discount is $850.

Final Payment without Early Bird Discount: The remaining balance of $950 is due March 1, 2027. A $25 late fee is added to all payments received after that date. If you register after March 1, 2027, your final payment will be due upon receipt of your invoice.
