Comments— I have three comments this week. One, Kato, my orange cat, has decided that he is now participating the project. He runs outside with us and immediately works his way into the photo shoot. Two, I fully realize how knowing that I am going to have my picture taken every day has upped the maintenance and does affect what I wear everyday. Three, I feel on top of this project right now and that always feels good.

COMMENTS– I will say that after 25 weeks of this project, I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the thing. Today, I thought about how I should also be documenting the weather. Which I suppose I can try and do. I wish I had time to make new clothes as it is always fun to add something new to my wardrobe. I am struggling to keep up with instagram out in McCarthy. My phone’s internet is not reliable and that makes it difficult. But other than that, I am staying on top of the documentation for this project.

COMMENTS
I am surprised in some ways by how long it took me to finally catch up on the documentation of this project. If I had my way, I would sew and sew and sew clothes. Lately, I like to make a new piece and then sew pieces that work with the new piece, so that a complete outfit evolves from the first decision. For example, I make a tunic and then I make the tights to go with it, and they both work with the new scarf I just finished. This is different from the beginning when I was really making things because I did not have them. For example I needed to make pants. Now, I have pants so I can be more creative in my making decisions.

COMMENTS
I am almost caught up! That is the one and only thing I think I have to say. When I started this project I thought the most difficult thing would be finding attractive clothing combinations. I was WRONG. The most difficult thing is keeping up on the documentation. I question why I am doing this, but then I read a story today about a fellow who ran the Appalachian Trail, and I decided what the heck. Sometimes we just do things because we are compelled to do them. There is not necessarily a final result that means anything beyond WE DID IT. And so I am doing it.

COMMENTS
This is the week I figured out that I need to be taking my photos on the ROAD. I realized this on DAY 102. The flipbook I eventually want to make needs to have the same background. I started out with a background that was close to our house and covered in snow. When the snow melted, I realized it was not a back drop that I could use. It is big huge bummer, but once I found the road, I knew that was the location. It is going to be a much better final 365 day composition. What a painful realization.
