Comments— Very smooth going this week. It is easy to maintain a project when you are not leaving the house. It is all clock work. I get dressed in the morning. Tripp takes my photo every afternoon, and then I post it on Instagram the next day. I know that I should actually be posting it on the day, but I like to think of it as Alaskan lag time. Back in the day, newsreels were delivered overnight to Alaska by plane and then broadcast the day after. I’m kind of doing the same thing. But the only people who know this are the half a dozen people reading this document. It is our little secret.

Comments— I wrote a detailed blog post about how I am documenting this adventure. You can read it over on my regular blog Tales of a Stitcher. I did a really foolish thing the other day. I wanted to change the neck line on the grey tunic I am wearing on # 204. I chalked a new neckline, cut the old off, got distracted by my children, came back, sewed a new binding onto the tunic, but I NEVER cut the new neckline shape. In other neckline news, I did successfully change the neck line on my black t-shirt. Day #197 is the old neckline, and Day #198 is the new one. I am also a little miffed that our neighbors decided to build a back driveway on our road. I moved my photo shoot location to the other side of the road so that their red car won’t be in the photos.

COMMENTS– I will say that after 25 weeks of this project, I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the thing. Today, I thought about how I should also be documenting the weather. Which I suppose I can try and do. I wish I had time to make new clothes as it is always fun to add something new to my wardrobe. I am struggling to keep up with instagram out in McCarthy. My phone’s internet is not reliable and that makes it difficult. But other than that, I am staying on top of the documentation for this project.

COMMENTS
I am almost caught up! That is the one and only thing I think I have to say. When I started this project I thought the most difficult thing would be finding attractive clothing combinations. I was WRONG. The most difficult thing is keeping up on the documentation. I question why I am doing this, but then I read a story today about a fellow who ran the Appalachian Trail, and I decided what the heck. Sometimes we just do things because we are compelled to do them. There is not necessarily a final result that means anything beyond WE DID IT. And so I am doing it.
